Sorrel Silver

My name is Dori Embree, and I’m the redheaded chick behind Sorrel Silver, creating genuine sterling silver and turquoise jewelry meant to be cherished for a lifetime.

I’ve been silversmithing for almost two years now, and I absolutely love it. I’ve also recently started investing in engraving tools, and I can’t wait until I’m able to offer hand engraving to you all!

I live in Prineville, Oregon, with my husband and our two children, but I grew up on a small ranch in Spray, Oregon. The western lifestyle was a huge part of my childhood and shaped so much of who I am today. Although life has taken me away from the ranch and I’ve since lost my horse to colic, working in a western trade has given me a way to stay connected to those roots. It also gives me the opportunity to be a small steward of the western lifestyle I love—creating pieces that celebrate it and helping carry a little bit of it forward.

Most days, you’ll find me in my studio making western jewelry that genuinely makes me giddy—the kind of piece that makes you want to put on a cute outfit just so you can wear it. My hope is that every Sorrel Silver piece gives you a little bit of that same feeling while carrying western traditions forward for generations to come.
